Infants

“A safe, nurturing environment for your newest addition to grow and begin learning about the world around them.”

Our primary focus in the infant classroom is to develop trusting and loving relationships with the children in our care.  We also strive to meet the specific developmental needs of each child. The caregivers in the infant room pride themselves on the one-on-one time spent daily with each child. One of our fundamental objectives at this age is maintaining consistency between the child's home environment and center environment. To achieve this consistency, a high-level of communication between you and our staff is essential. Providing us with information on how your child is comforted, fed, etc. is just one way we can begin to create this consistency. We rely heavily on daily communication, offering daily written reports and discussions about your child as these little ones change and grow quickly. We provide the highest quality care in an environment that's designed to stimulate through music, mirror-play, tummy time, outdoor play, and so much more.

Our Program

Throughout the classroom daily we address each key area of infant development. Physical health and well being are addressed through your child's nutrition, exercise, and rest. Your child will have the opportunity to use multiple senses while exploring and learning. In addition, there are opportunities for your child to use their gross and fine motor skills during tummy and floor time. We encourage curiosity, communication, and imagination.

We work to encourage language development by continuously talking to the children about what they are doing and what is going on around them. Reading out loud, singing songs, reciting rhymes, and doing finger plays are just a few more ways that we interact with the children in the infant room.

Your child gains many opportunities for social interaction by simply being enrolled in a group center. Having your child begin to be surrounded by peers is a stepping stone for their social and emotional development. We strongly encourage the development of self-help skills, and often feel just as proud as your child does when they accomplish a new task.

What You Need to Provide for Your Child

FORMULA - You need to provide this only if you prefer not to use our formula. If you prefer to bring in another brand, you can bring in the powder for us to mix as needed. The center will provide Little Journeys: Advantage formula if you so choose to use it.

BREAST MILK - Please bring in small bottles or bags with enough milk for daily consumption. We also strongly encourage families to bring in 2-3 extra frozen bags of milk that we can store in our kitchen freezer for days when a child eats more, a bag accidentally breaks or leaks, ect.

BOTTLES - Bring in 3-4 bottles daily with your child’s first & last name labeled on them. Use bottles will be sent home to be washed and returned.

DIAPERS AND WIPES - You may bring in a “sleeve” of diapers, but please refrain from leaving us with an entire box; we do not have an exceptionally large amount of space to store them. You will also need to bring in a container of disposable wipes and refill as needed. You may also bring a diaper ointment or powder if needed. Cloth diapers are permitted. Parents must provide a labeled waterproof disposal bag for cloth diapers to be sent home daily to be laundered. Cloth diapers must have an absorbent inner lining and a waterproof outer lining, to be changed as a unit.

CRIB SHEET - Our cribs use pack and play sized sheets. We do not accept blankets to be used with under 1 due to SIDS and licensing safety protocols. We prefer you bring in a swaddle or sleep sack for napping. A blanket may be used once a child is over one year of age.

EXTRA CLOTHES - Bring in two changes of clothing to remain at the center. Remember to change spare sets as the child grows or seasons change.

SEASONAL CLOTHING - All children at the center go outside. The infants go out if it is 20 degrees or above (with windchill), so please bring a jacket with hood or separate hat for the spring and fall seasons. For winter bring snowsuits, hats, mittens, and boots (or suits with feet covers). In the summer, you may want to bring a hat and sunscreen. Once your child is able to stand, please provide a pair of shoes.

Toddlers

“An Introduction to language, arts, social-emotional awareness, play, and so much more.”

Our toddler program is designed for your active little one who is learning to walk, talk, and explore their environment with loads of enthusiasm. We work with parents to establish individualized goals that we'll work on with your child to promote language, emotional development, and fine/gross motor skills. As in the infant programs, we will send home a daily report to communicate the highlights of your

What an exciting time to be a parent! One and two-year-olds are becoming more active, exploring their surroundings, and talking away. In the toddler classroom we work with your child to strengthen & develop their physical, social, emotional & language skills through a variety of daily activities and play. At this age, children are developing a sense of independence and are trying to gain meaning from the world around them.

Our Program

Our program is designed to nurture and enrich your child’s emotional, social, academic, and physical development while providing the support, devotion, and reinforcement your child needs while you're away.

In the toddler classroom, we love creative expression! We provide daily opportunities for your child to express themselves through arts, dance, music, and dramatic play. Children also participate in daily academic activities at circle times that are designed to lay the foundations for learning basic knowledge such as colors, shapes, and the alphabet. Your child will be given the opportunity to participate regularly in activities that allow them to explore different interests and work on their cognitive and basic motor skills.

We encourage communication abilities by prompting imitation and repetition of words as well as teaching basic sign language to help young ones communicate wants and needs. Additionally, we reinforce these abilities by providing exposure to letter recognition through play, small group activities, and by engaging in numerous reading experiences. And finally, while academics are important, we also feel it is essential for your child to learn self-help skills, empathy, problem-solving, and to develop their self-esteem. Best of all, your child will have FUN in the process!

Preschool

“A Whole-Child Curriculum approach designed to support and nurture your child in all areas of development and learning.”

Our preschool and 4K programs are staffed by highly qualified, dedicated teachers. We offer children a chance to get ready for kindergarten and beyond in an environment that is engaging and fun. Our preschoolers are exposed to centers such as language development, creative arts, music, science, manipulatives, and math. We will learn through our hands-on play!  Your child will leave this program feeling confident and ready to take on school!

Our Program

Throughout your child's preschool experiences, we will guide and comfort them as they continue to work toward being more independent. Preschoolers come to school eager to learn and begin to take responsibility for their learning..

Daily lessons are based on natural occurrences in each child's life. Months of the year, seasons and holidays generate the activities. Language and printed materials are prevalent as children see their spoken words have meaning, can be written down and read at a later time. Teachers develop a safe and meaningful relationship with each child to encourage academic and personal growth.

They are able to develop interactions with materials, people and events that are important to them.
